I owned a TT for five years and was very sad to wave it off (and with it carefree bachelor child-free days!). It always felt rock-solid on the road and had plenty of performance for a normal person. It had a great interior and superb build quality.
The boot was big enough while I was single, but couldn't carry enough for two people on a week's holiday, as my wife will testify after carrying a suitcase in her lap while we went to the airport earlier in the year!
The Bose sound system was great (but why no controls on the wheel?) and the optional baseball-glove leather was nice and lifted the cabin (not that I'd have paid extra for it - my car was an ex-demo model). Residual values are excellent- I got about 40% of the price I paid for the car at six months old back as a dealer trade in at five-and-a-half years old (or about 37% from new price). Many new cars will shed more than that in three years from new!
The new car doesn't look as distinctive, and I'm sure that I'll regret parting with my TT in years to come as it establishes itself as a classic.
The Quattro TT Cabriolet is a fabulous car. Its power is useful and can jet you forward with ease, but when you get close to the top end, it slows down and feels jittery. The chassis starts to flex and the ride is harsh. Fuel economy is good, but not great.
The cabin quality is perfect, real Audi style, but now, overall, I have to give the TT a three stars, because it may be great, but there are so many on the roads now that it can't feel special.
A great car, but although the 150bhp is quick.. it could be quicker!
What Car? states that the boot space is impacted with the roof down, but this is untrue. The boot is an excellent size with the roof up / down and can easily take all you need for a trip away.
The only down side to the roof is that is doesn't have a mechanical cover, although fitting the tonneau cover is easy and takes about 2 minutes.
Great car.. worth the money as the cabin quality is superb. Get leather - very comfy seats!
This is car which makes you smile. The soft top creaks too much but the style is great.

Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
