This is car which makes you smile. The soft top creaks too much but the style is great.

    My car

I have just bought this car. It is absolutely brilliant - it has style, practicality and performance.

I found it in the local paper and it's in a very rare Audi exclusive colour called Amulet Red. It is absolutely beautiful. I love driving it. It is so smooth and comfortable.

However if you are going to buy one, buy it second-hand.

OK, the TT Roadster is not as rare on the road these days as it was some time ago, but make no mistake about this car turning heads. People look at this car!

Why do people buy a roadster? Because it has a big boot? I think not. Because it is super fast? No, if you want pure speed then a coupe is a better choice. A roadster is about image! The TT is in a league of its own in this price bracket for image. The BMW Z4 may drive better, but I think it's ugly. The Porsche Boxster? I have a problem with a car that you cannot tell the difference between the front from the back end. No, for image it is game, set and match to the TT.

Now for the interior. For all the TT looks the part on the outside, the inside is just a dream come true. Detail, quality... it makes me dribble just thinking about it.

So what am I saying here? Is the TT the best car on the road? No, I'll take a Porsche Turbo when I win the lottery. Until then, I'll be more than happy driving around in one seriously sexy Audi thank you very much.

    My car

The two things that come out of a drive in this car is the alfresco experience and the safe performance that accompanies it.

The roof mechanism is fairly good and there isn't much buffeting either at speed, so there is little reason to leave the roof down when it's sunny, considering the fact that it comes with heated seats as standard, though the glass deflector isn't much use to be frank.

The cabin is certainly one of the best I've been in with leather sports seats as standard too and not too many switches to confuse you. The BOSE speakers are worth recommending too.

As for the driving, the Quattro system never ceases to amaze me in the corners, you can exit roundabouts at speeds that would get you into trouble with an equivalent Z4. The engine isn't as aurally stimulating as the latter but it does deliver more torque lower down and you can feel it.

Probably not an out-to-out driver's car like its German rivals but an excellent all-round package it is.
