A lovely car, especially on nice days with the roof down. Very good acceleration and solid handling make this a real pleasure to drive.
Engine noise when revved hard is throaty and top down it's a head-turner. Fuel consumption is good, reaching just under 40mpg on longer journeys, interior and exterior functions are excellent quality too.
Only minor problems found so far: alloy wheels easily scraped, recalled for spark-plug fault, air-con front panel replaced due to noisy fan. Other than this, the car is excellent with a high resale value.
Although not an uncommon car these days, the TT turns heads and attracts comments from other drivers. It is brilliant to drive the DSG gearbox is nothing less than superb.
I've had the car for the past nine months and it's been fault free so far. I'd call the driving experience fun if not thrilling.
Performance from the 150bhp engine is good, both in town at the traffic light derby and also on the motorway where it pulls strongly in fifth when overtaking.
The cabin quality is excellent although recently the odd rattle from the rear has emerged but nothing serious. All of the materials used are top rate. Cabin stowage is average. The glovebox is a decent size but the door nets, which substitute for plastic bins, are not hugely useable.
Handling is good, the car is very flat when cornering although the steering is a little dull with not a huge amount of feedback. Also somewhat disappointing is the exhaust note which compared to my last car, an Alfa Spider, is very lacklustre.
The TT is a great car overall, feels very robust and you know it won't let you down. It still looks superb after all these years and with the top down it makes you feel a little special - even though you are likely to see quite a few others cruising around!

Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
