    My car

I bought my black 2002 R/T last year with a genuine 29500 on the clock. It's now on 45000. I use it mainly on the motorway where it swallows up the miles with ease. I'm happy to sit there at 60mph for which I get a good 40mpg return on super unleaded, which I have used since I bought it. I get about 33mpg around town.

I love the leather interior. The radio with cd multichanger and the now retro tape deck are great. The air con is excellent. The electric folding door mirrors are also very handy. It would have been nice to have had rear electric windows, but I guess you can't have everything. The alarm is unbelievably loud but a little sensitive to setting off.

Gripes? Cornering at speed is not for the faint hearted! It is American after all and was built for straight roads. The R/T should have been lowered with decent springs, but that being said, it's still fairly comfortable.

Reliability has so far been good apart from the front suspension bushes. I've just had new ones fitted to pass the MOT. If you're a handy home mechanic like me, servicing it is a breeze. As for tyres, any good tyre shop can get you the correct sized tyres for a reasonable £55 a corner, fitted. I replaced all four of mine a couple of k after buying the car.

All in all I'm very happy with the car and I intend keeping it for quite some time. The car does turn heads and people do point at it. It's a rare car on our roads and that's what I like, exclusivity.

    My car

I bought my car as second hand,,, the problem i had is the noise when i start the car, (in the engine),,, it's great when parking -compare to my other car peugoet - as it's turns very easy. has a good room inside (good size but nippy )... but recently i start to have a problem ,when i use the indicater a green symbol of light comes indside and the small two lights (Fog light) at the front will switch one without me turning in it),,took it to my garage to check... but i am happy with it...

    My car

I have owned a RT since new, (51 reg) and its now coming up to 75,000 miles. I keep on thinking about buying something else but this car has all the bits, looks good and ploughs up and down the motorways with ease. Great stereo and nicely trimmed leather seats. So far nothing has fallen off and apart from general servicing I have had no problems or faults. In fact, my local Chrysler dealer encourages me to keep the car as they say that it is so well built! (Clearly, they don't want to loose a good customer)

My only "gripes" are the fuel economy. I certainly know where they sell the cheapest petrol.

The other thing to bear in mind are the tyres. Quickfit (and similar establishments) are unable to source them so I am afraid its back to the local dealer as and when they need changing.

That said, if you don't drive far and can put up with the petrol costs, I think that they are a great all round buy.

It still seems to turns heads!!!!

I have tested the new Chrysler Sebrene and it just didn't compare as it seemed heavy and slow. Well, thats progress!!!

    My car

I've had a 2.0SE manuel for nearly a year. It's a 2000 X reg with 50k on the clock. I have been fairly happy with the car so far, it always starts and is easy to drive and if you want fun it will shift! The ride is a bit soggy but if you're not on a race track it's ok. Inside is fine with all the toys and room for 5 with the bonus of a large boot.

Yes, it's never going to win a beauty contest but if you want something a bit unusual for much less money than some other runarounds give one a try......just be prepared for regular visits to the petrol pumps!
