    My car

Having bought a new 1.6 SX on an 05 plate I have experienced two failures of the braking servo - once at 3k miles and again at 13k miles. This in itself I find unacceptable but it has been Citroen's lack of customer care that has led me to get rid of the car. They, on neither occasion, provided a replacement car or seemed to treat the problem as the potentially dangerous one that it was. I would advise anyone to steer clear of the C3 and Citroen's terrible customer care .

    My car

I bought this brand new only 16 months ago and am now looking for something else.

It's dreadful in that it will quite frequently not start. It's been back to the dealer three times for this and they can not find anything wrong! It beeps at me and takes at least seven attempts before it starts, which is so frustrating.

    My car

In my last review of the C3, I said on the 18th June 2007 the car had developed another fault similar to before of injector failure, which is common.

I confirmed the ECU fault code as P0204 injector circuit malfunction in cylinder no.4 which is the one furthest away from the gearbox. This is caused by leaking washer jets which drip water directly on to the fuel injector below.

Citroen issued a technical bulletin on 7 March 2006, after the first injector was replaced, so once again the same fault due to Citroen design fault. Modified washers p/no. 6438V8 @ £2.98 each cure this problem and the bulletin states to replace both the injector and washers.

Yet Citroen UK are refusing to cover the cost due to the age of the car. The injectors wouldn't have failed in the first place if the washer jets didn't leak. Also, the lower balljoint needs replacing following the suspension collapse; the main dealer wants £304 to repair it and Citroen UK turned down our appeal of who's paying.

Tell anyone with a Citroen C3 to get your car checked before you get ripped off by a dealer and Citroen UK. You'll have to pay, of course, as they won't be offering it free of charge.

    My car

This car comes well equipped, and returns good fuel consumption. Bits of plastic fall off at regular intervals, but hey, there's still plenty of plastic left!

This car was fine for the first 50,000 miles, then it developed a starting problem. The glow plugs were replaced, the glow plug relay was replaced, and the injectors were replaced. Lots of money was spent and it's still no good.

We found a sollution for these problems - part-exchange! And we'll never, ever touch another.
