Follow up on August 2006. I still have the same car, now on 88000 miles. Reliability dropped. New rack at 87000 miles. Citroen wanted 1075 pounds for the part. £230.00 for a re-con item.New discs at this time too. Crank pulley broke up at 84000 hwile we were in Austria. thankfully the service there was brilliant and labour at 56 euros per hour! Overall I am still happy with the car for its comfort practicality and economy.
In the seven years I have owned this car (a Desire 2.0i petrol), I have never had a problem with it. It's been very reliable and the door warning light is very practical, it shows exactly which door is not shut properly.
This car is used for retail business hence the automatic. Now nearly four years old and with nearly 80,000 miles on the clock the car has been most reliable and has never really been a bother. Not worth the retail price when new however the dealer discount made the vehicle for company use. I would buy again.
