First Thing I have the '07'Dynamic Sport 1.4 16v 6 speed' but it's not listed. The car is very good overall with 'GOOD' being the best overall rating !! This model is probably the best of the smaller engines, the overall look of the car is nice, the interior is like no other and the cabin space for driver and passenger is probably the best of all the small cars, but it's not the greatest on fuel consumption though as it can be put to the limit or driven like an old man and i still only get 275 miles roughly out of the tank which isn't what it say's in the book !! The only major problem with this car is the 'ECU' that controls the wipers as i had 2 pack in within the first 2 mths and FIAT are adamant it's not a common thing even though i've got friends with the same model have the same problem. The really good thing of this model is the 'BLUE N ME' Bluetooth which is class best thing i did was upgrade to that model to get it. The 6th Gear is a Bonus especially for a 1.4 it really lower's the noise from the engine when cruising at about 70mph !!
Have owned this little car (2002 model)for 16 months and taken the mileage from 24k to 41k in this time. Although a bit short of power on the hills it goes pretty well and has been very economical @ 45-50 mpg.
Servicing has been done at a local garage but using genuine parts so hasn't been too bad. On the reliability front I have had a couple of electrical issues - airbag light keeps coming on and engine management light on but nothing showing up.
Mechanically I have had to replace front pads (genuine Fiat and very noisy!)and rebuild the rear brakes for last MOT, the only other problem is the very soft rear suspension which I am told will require replacement of the shock absorbers.
I bought the car for my kids to learn to drive in and it has proven ideal for the purpose. These are solid little cars, much roomier than many in their class and well worth a look at very competitive prices at the minute.
As a young male, the punto active sport really is near on perfect. It comes with the 1.2 8v engine keeping insurance costs low, but still pulls even at high motorway speeds. It has sports bucket style seats which give loads of support and make you think you are in fact in a much more rapid car. It also comes standard with a CD Player with 6 speakers and a 100W subwoofer in the boot and is one of the best sounded standard systems ive heard. It also comes with alloys and a raspy sounding exhaust, and can be found in the sporty 'sprint blue' colour.
I have owned an auto version now for 3 years. There were 15,000 miles on the clock when bought - now at 70,000. I thrash it up and down motorway daily. Power steering went at 50,000 miles, replaced at a cost of £250. For new parts hunt around. Now it's fine.
Juddery wipers are common on cars 1999-2003. Service every 12,000 miles as thrown up nothing major yet.
It's a very easy drive and fairly quick. The Fiat dealer was fairly good. Parts can be expensive, so if out of warranty hunt around for alternatives which are just as good.
I will keep it until it dies on me.

I have owned this car for almost 2 years, bought from a used dealer with 60k on and later found it was a ex rental car.... the insurance was cheap…
Ive had this car for one year now and so far has exeeded my expectations. The car is great at overtaking lorries on the motorway and handles very…
