    My car

Biggest problem is FIAT, Many problems from new.Boot not closing properly after they fitted Tow Bar, occasional loud grinding noise from rear wheels, cannot find any problem and of course it never happens when its in the garage. Biggest problem, is the battery, which goes flat, after 2 weeks, we have come back now from holidays on 3 occasions to a flat battery, again garage says the battery is fine, and we should put it on a trickle charge every weekend to keep the battery charged up.Is this a normal solution for a car that was purchased new January 2007, and has only done 8500 miles. Surely we should have been informed before purchase !!. So although the car runs well, especially on long journeys, Customer Service is so POOR, I would not want to buy from FIAT again.

    My car

I just bumped into the review that I wrote in January 2006 and, glad to say, my opinions haven't changed. If anything, I'm even more in love!

I'm not doing the high mileage that I was but I have still got 100k on the clock in 3 years. I've just paid out £120 to get the aircon fixed, and I've had 3 new light bulbs over the 100K but, normal servicing and tyres aside, she has cost me nothing!

Even at high mileage she is still solid and rattle-free. I think that if I would the clock back 80,000 miles, no-one would suspect. I keep wondering whether I should replace her but, when you have a car that has been, and continues to be, almost flawless, well, would you change?

My local dealer is Ripon is a joy to deal with. Can I really be the only person in the country to be delighed with my Stilo?

    My car

My car is on a 52 plate and i've had it almost a year in which i have done nearly 15,000 miles. Overall i find it a good car especially the cruise control and satnav the previous owner had installed. But I do have a couple of niggles The airbag warning lights comes on for no reason other than to annoy me and seems to be triggered when i have passengers in the rear?! work that one out!! Am I the only one who finds the rear suspension exremely jolting over bumps? someone told me this was due to the alloys but i'm beginning to wonder. Has anyone had similar problems?

    My car

I think this is a bit of a bargain. It is a well equipped, roomy estate with a particularly practical boot. The load bay and bumper are flush which means a low load height and you can sit comfortably in the boot with a roof over your head if you do country pursuits or for picnics.

We got a car with the full-length sunroof and it was great on holiday in France.

The ride height is a bit higher than usual and the seat comfort is very good. We have a near six-foot tall son and he is comfortable in the back.

I like that the car is fully galvanised. The plastics are not brilliant but as good as many. There's a full size spare wheel and it sits horizontally in a well in the boot so can't be nicked.

The engine is a cracker. The car can really shift and has bags of mid-range grunt for safe overtaking, even under load.

Economy is good. It's returning 47-48mpg tootling around, and nearer 55mpg on a long run.

We got a 30,000-mile full Fiat service history example for just under £6000. That's good value for money.
