I have always said no to having a Ford of any type, let alone a diesel, but I am very pleased with mine. It is very good on fuel but it is also very nippy it drives more like a petrol car.
The interior is very pleasing and the driving position is excellent. The space in the boot is excellent, which is great as I have two children and two dogs.
Both the insurance and tax is very cheap. In all I would recommend this car to anyone looking for an estate car.
What an incredibly well biult car for the outlay! Better to drive than a Golf, better built than an Astra, better looking than a Rover and not as French as a Renault. I cannot see how you can go wrong with one of these estates. The load space is absolutely huge (I can fit a three-phase compressor in there) and even loaded it handles like a dream. The only downside - you have to speak to the uninterersted team at our local Ford dealer when you need things done.
I love my car, it's a Focus Zetec 1.6. Unfortunatley I have to sell it and get a seven-seater for business reasons, otherwise I would hang on to it until it fell apart.
I love the way it pulls away instead of taking 15 hours just to get up to a reasonable speed from standing. I also love the space you get in the boot. I just love my car through and through.
The car is OK, apart from intermittent engine noise. The dealer is rubbish!
Within two weeks of purchase, an intermittent noise developed. The dealer diagnosed an idler pulley fault and eventually fixed it. Two days later, the noise returned. We have been back to them a few times since with no joy.
Each time the noise returns we cannot seem to get vehicle to any garage before the noise goes, to have the fault diagnosed.
Apart from the worry of the fault and its implications, the car is fine. Our problem is with the dealer.
