    My car

At 6’4” like head room and firm but comfortable upright seats but had to make sure car did NOT come with optional radio control stalk on steering column which would foul knees. Dashboard is uncomplicated and easy to use but was replaced in first few months on warranty due to a minor display fault. Economical and small but practical: nice fold down driver’s arm rest, fold flat front seat good for 5’ long keyboard! Irritations: rear view mirror at eye height so obscures road view, relatively high level of engine noise in cabin around town for a new car, brakes not particularly powerful (compared to my old citroen xantia), no cruise control available. Around town about 45-50mpg, 60mpg at constant 65mph, 67mpg at constant 60mph. Pulls very well from moderate speeds. Like unique outside styling – I don’t like the replacement Ford B-max coming soon. Optional reversing sensors useful – stopped me going into an undetected concrete bollard! My step-Dad with bad hip likes the high seats. Also tested Kia Soul (close second), Nissan Note and Skoda Yeti.

    My car

WHERE DO I START....ALL PEDALS ARE TOO FAR TO THE LEFT YOUR RIGHT KNEE ACHES, YOUR MUSCLE AT TOP OF RIGHT LEG ACHES, NOWHERE TO PUT LEFT FOOT NEXT TO CLUTCH, SEATS ARE SO HARD A PARK BENCH IS MORE COMFORTABLE, REALLY HURTS MY BACK, HUBBY HAS THE SAME PAIN IN LEG MUSCLE AND KNEE, I'M 5 FOOT HE IS 6 FT. THERE ARE NO BRAKES, IVE TAKEN IT BACK TO FORD AND THEY INSIST THAT ITS FINE, IT WONT STOP, FRIGHTENED TO GO FASTER THAN 40 IN CASE I NEED TO STOP. HEATED FRONT WINDOW IS DANGEROUS AS IT DOESN'T CLEAR TO THE RIGHT OF WINDSCREEN SO YOU DON'T SEE OTHER VEHICLES AT JUNCTIONS, ROUNDABOUTS ETC. WHEN LIGHTS ARE ON AUTOMATIC THEY COME ON FULL BEAM AND BLIND ON COMERS! IVE DRIVEN MANY FORDS THROUGHT 80S, RENAULT, VAUXHALL, TOYOTA, SEAT, BUT THIS IS A JOKE!! THE BEST THING IS THE FUEL ECONOMY, BUT I'M TOO SCARED TO GO FAST IN CASE IT WONT BRAKE!! REALLY WISH ID GONE FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE BUT NEEDED A FLAT BOOT FOR DISABLED SONS LABRADOR. HEATER BURNS MY LEG TOO. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FUSION BUT CANT AFFORD TO CHANGE IT.

    My car

I bought a 53 Ford Fusion with less than £28k on the clock. Needed a small estate car for my dogs, so stupidly traded in my Clio. Have owned this for less than three months and so far, have had to replace steering rack and clutch. The car is now jumping when I accelerate. The spark plugs were replaced just over a month ago, so it's not that. I bought this car on the back of the What Car Reviews at the time and no-one had a bad word to say about it. I see, however, people are as disgruntled (to put it mildly) as I am. Not only that, the car's value has dropped by £1200 since I bought it! So can't afford to get rid of it now either. Thanks What Car!!

    My car

As the Fusion is not the best looking car in the world it has not had the recognition it deserves. However this is one of the cleverest cars on the market for Space and Economy a true all rounder, it is also very comfortable which surpries me as I am over 6 ft. You have to get the 1.6 Deisel. I am going to buy one having driven several now.
