    My car

This car is great - especially the performance levels given it is an MPV. I have been on the road in it since March 2007 and found it very practical.

The individual folding second and third row seats work well, allowing a combination of passengers and load, although even with all seven seats there is still a lot of luggage space.

The car performs and handles well - better than most MPVs. We also tow a 1500kg Ace Award Nightstar caravan and again it seems stable, even when sixth gear is achieved.

    My car

Other cars I considered were the S-MAX, Zafira, Toyota Verso, Voyager and Mazda 5 but these didn't do it for me.I've had the car 3 days and except for the spare wheel issue I'm thoroughly happy with my choice. My wife and children like it. Overall quality is very good, one small gripe being that there is a little rattle on bumpy surfaces which I think comes from the seat belt height adjuster but I'm not absolutely sure.

    My car

I own a 53 plate Galaxy Ghia and love it. Ready to sell for the new shape. Saw Derek Cozens review and became concerned. I have been fortunate to have been given access to a 2007 Galaxy 2.0 diesel, a few weeks old. I have now driven it for 2 weeks, done nearly 2000 miles and - HATE IT. Why? It drives wonderfully - just like a car, and I have pushed it hard. It looks good. However, the Turbo lag in first is appalling - in fact really annoying. As you go to pull away it's so slow then suddenly takes off. The lender nad friends all complained of this. It does not like 30-40 slow cruising. And trim is falling off already. Seats are thinner and just doesn't have a quality feel about them. For a £21000 car I expected a lot more - at least to the quality of my old car. Mmmm! Am I buying one - No. Would I recommend it - No! Now what's the alternative?

    My car

I have only had the car for about a month but we all really like it. The 2.0TDi engine is very lively despite the large dimensions of the car.

There is a little body roll compared to my last car (Mazda 6 estate) but not enough to worry about.

Overall quality is very good, one small gripe being that there is a little rattle on bumpy surfaces which I think comes from the seat belt height adjuster but I'm not absolutely sure. Also, I have the rear seat DVD package and the positioning of the DVD player (under the passenger seat) is a pain.

I was considering a Volvo V70 at the time of purchase but chose the Galaxy as the space it offered was unbeatable. So far I feel that I have made the right choice and the rather long wait (from the beginning of October to the beginning of February) was definately worth it.
