    My car

I bought my Streetka Winter Edition new in 2005 and chose it for the hardtop as I live in an area where vandalism could be a problem. I absolutely adore this car, it is a dream to drive, very comfortable with snug leather seats, aircon and brilliant audio. The handling is superb and the only faults I can find are that the acceleration is a little disappointing, the turning circle could be a LOT better and fuel economy is a joke. I only get 250 miles of economy conscious driving to a tankful of very expensive petrol doing the the daily commute. I have a few gripes: the door handles feel flimsy and the remote locking noise is an irritating groan - for such an iconic little gem it should be "plip". Visibility is terrible and parking is consequently a nightmare, made worse by the awful turning circle. (I'm very small which doesn't help) I would have liked remote boot opening as the double-click keypad method is awkward. Apart from that, the boot is plenty big enough for the weekly shop or luggage for two, the aircon is very efficient whatever the weather, no leaks and no significant rattles. Long journeys are comfortable and I do not reach my destination feeling battered by road, engine or wind noise. The best thing of all is that the children no longer ask me to transport mountain bikes, fridges, filthy hiking gear or motorbike engines which is one of the reasons why I chose a two seater. I love it!

    My car

Lovely car to drive, strong engine with excellent handling. Can be a little thirsty for petrol for a 1.6l, I had a 1.6 megane which was much better with the fuel.

The space for a 2 seater is great, with a good sized boot and loads of little hidey holes. The hood can be a little fiddly as its a manual, and ive had a trouble with the button that realeases the hide away boot for the hood, and its slightly heavey for a small girl like me!

The body work is good and solid, although i find the doors are prone to getting hit by other careless owners with their car doors. It rattles ever ever so slightly, but this is very common for a converible.

The interior is ok, although things like door handles seem very fragile and the interior light is in a very strange poistion which makes seeing things in the dark difficult, on the whole good car, unsure if i will purchase another one though. I prefered my 1998 convertible megane!

    My car

WE HAVE OWNED OUR STREETKA FOR A YEAR. WE BOUGHT IT SECOND HAND AS AN EX-DEMONSTATOR ON A 05 PLATE AND HAVE JUST SPENT 10 DAYS TOURING BRITTANY AND PARIS IN IT. DURING THE WINTER MONTHS WE SUFFERED THE REPORTED ENGINE FAULT, WHICH FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE TECHNICALLY MINDED WAS DUE TO A FAULTY EXTERNAL HEGO SENSOR IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO LOOSE POWER AND THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT TO REMAIN ON. THIS WAS REPLACED BY, NOT WITH THE SAME PART BUT BY AN UPDATED VERSION AND HAS NOT BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE. INDEED SINCE THIS WORK WAS CARRIED OUT THE MPG HAS IMPROVED NO END AND WE DONE OVER 1000 MILES IN FRANCE AND IT GAVE US 40MPG OVERALL. IT ALSO HAD ENOUGH ROOM IN THE BOOT AND THE HOOD STORAGE AREA FOR SUPPLIES FROM THE HYPERMARKET! I HAVE READ OTHER REPORTS OF LEAKING ROOFS-NO, BODY RATTLES-OCCASIONAL,POOR TURNING CIRCLE-LIVE WITH IT AND HARD ON SUSPENSION-ITS THE LOW TYRES. THE STREETKA IS THE FIRST CONVERTIBLE THAT WE HAVE BROUGHT AND HAS GIVEN US THAT SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO DRIVE ON A FINE SUNNY DAY. IT HAS PUT THE PLEASURE BACK INTO DRIVING AND WE LOVE IT. WE WOULD NOT CHANGE IT FOR ANYTHING ELSE AND RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR CHEAP OPEN TOP FUN.

    My car

I have had this car for 2 weeks and mostly i love it but i have discovered a very annoying rattle. It can be slightly hard on the suspension. I was wondering if anyone else had the same rattle or if it was just a problem with mine.
