I love this car, although there is a roll rounding the corners, and I would have to think twice about petrol costs before undertaking a long journey. But I now have 7 passengers compared to my old ford estate taking 5! I feel secure in this and that is what matters. I have recently bought a caravan and discovered that my 02 model tows a lot more tonnage compared to the newer models. Very happy with my car.
We bought our Hyundai almost four years ago.And yes it was a new experience!the things we like about it are;1.taking an extended family in comfort,we've fitted four dvd screens! No more of the usual, are we there yet?2.when your passenger are tired, they can put their seats back and sleep!3.Going to Ikea!it can take 6'5''x3 1/2 door!Motorways a little getting used to, but it can hold its own.I have managed to do 33 mpg,not often but it's possible!the only things i would change,a sun roof for gsi's,and the possiblity of seeing where the front bumpers are!
I had a 2.0 gsi I bought it from a so called careing garage group. It turned out differently after I bought the car.
On the road I found that the handling took a little getting use to
It was a bit on the hard side with a nasty lean on corners.Mine was an auto and changed smooth enough.Except when towing the caravan it was a hard job to keep the speed on the motorway.
The main draw back for me was the cost of running the car.28mpg on the motorway,18\20mpg in town servicing cost at the dealers was a second mortgage. The cost of spare parts was a shock. The Trajet was to be honest a great car space was great equiptment levels for a buget mpv were great. It was let down just by the running cost.Even in diesel form you only manage to get 30 mpg
I have owned two Ford Galaxys prior to this, and the Trajet compares very favourably.
I have the automatic version, and find it a real pleasure to drive. I don't find it noisy, and like the firmness of the suspension.
The five-warranty really gives you peace of mind. On the negatives, the cabin interior is not as refined as the Galaxy, and I find it quite thirsty.
Overall,I would rate the car as being good value for money.
