    My car

I have to agree, it's so dull to hear 'that looks like a Mondeo/Hyundai/blah blah blah... Do these people actually think it is possible to design ANYTHING without it bearing some resemblance to something else in some way? I remember the time when the Ford Sierra had such a profound effect on car design that by the late eighties/early nineties you simply couldn't tell one family saloon/hatch from another. The current Mondeo, smart as it is, is so utterly generic that it would be fairly difficult to omit all design correlation from a similar sized saloon car anyway.

Personally, I can't wait to see one of these wonderful machines on the road and I'm desperate to know how the ownership issues are going to be resolved. I couldn't care less if some unimaginative dinks think that it looks like a monderavensis

    My car

I must respond to Keiran Wood's comments re: mondeo. It is akin to saying "Don't buy a Ferrari, the Hyundai Coupe has similar lines!". Absolutely moronic! I have actually seen and driven the XF (unlike keiran) and have to say that the press photos don't do it justice. It's is a very three dimensional design and 2d photographs just can't capture the beauty of it lines and curves. Take my advice and try it out, you'll see what all the reviewers are raving about (and are highly likely to fall in love with it!)

I'm I alone in thinking the new Jaguar XF looks very similar to the new mondeo? I'm so suprised all previous reviewers & the press etc have not noticed this similarity. If you have time open both car reviews up, go to the photo section and compare them. The rear & side profiles are identical- looks like the handles are too? Forget the Jag, go half price and get the mondeo!
