Just purchased an 2002 2.5 lx v6 it was a 1 owner car with a full main dealer service history and just 25k on the clock for less than £2000 similar cars vectra mondeo laguna etc were all looking a bit tired with 100k plus. This is definately a look outside the box kind of car that most people will turn their noses up at becoase of the badge, but that is their problem not mine! The car is currently returning about 30mpg, amazing for a v6 It has a strong gutsy v6 engine that pulls cleanly from about 5mph in 3rd. It is almost silent around town and on the motorway but will growl like a v8 when revved through the gears between 4 and 6000 rpm by which time you will probably have to slow down again (you'll have run out of road!)...a very quick car with a fantastic engine note if you are in the mood. The ride comfort is acceptable on rough roads certainly no worse than other similar cars and better than some. the handling feels only about average certainly ok for most driving you will ever do, but dont bother with the Nurburgring!. Whats not to like? you will have to work hard on keeping the alloys clean and waxed as I think the lacquer is a bit week like older jap cars used to be. What else? well the standard VDO cd/radio & poss rear speakers are a bit el cheapo. I reckon it is probably the best used car bargain out there and you will have a much more interesting/newer car for your money. Oh and I don't think anyone will ever steal the badges off your car.

Owned for 1 year, as family runabout Pros good size, general build quality, powershift gearbox, good to drive, low costs Cons handling slighly…
Had this car for 90k from new. A 56 plate. In over 2,000,000 miles driven this one has broken down the most of any car I have had. DO NOT get a 2.0…
