Have owned car since June 2005 and done about 2,500 miles so far. Most of this mileage was completed on French autoroutes.
Acceleration is not particularly good but it travels smoothly and quietly once up to speed.
Interior quality is very good.
I was not impressed by offhand and apparently uninterested sales team at my local dealership.
Just taken delivery of this car and I am not disappointed. I had a A170CDi and this is a huge step forward.
It actually feels like a Mercedes now, the whole feel of the car is much improved. The ride, which was always a little harsh, is now much improved.
I went over the top with the accessories (which is easy to do) so the car is expensive, but I can say you get what you pay for. It is well worth the money paid.
I would recommend this car to anyone and I must admit I chose the A-Class over the C-Class for versatility and refinement.
We had thought of buying VW Golf Plus, test driven Audi A3 Sportback, but opted for A180 CDI Avantagrde Auto
We had hated the old A Class, it looked cheap, and did not offer the prestigious ownership experience. So it was a big step for us when we mustered the courage to go to the dealer to have a look at it. We loved it.
When it came to placing the order, I must admit the London dealers were not the best to deal with. We then used Autobytel, who put us in touch with a dealer in Midlands. It wasn't a great experience. I wonder if they consider the A Class buyers the middle class owners and only want to deal with CLK, or SL customers.Well, fortunately, I contacted a dealer in Scotland (John R Weir, Dundee Branch) and I must admit we got a superb service from the very first moment.
We have had the A180 CDI Auto for four days. I have owned a Audi, and driven an C-Class before. I must admit this is one of the best. It is amazingly smooth. No bumps. On the motorway it is very very smooth.
What really impressed me was the space inside the cabin. It is amazing how the designer have been able to squeeze so much in there. The legroom at the back is comparable to an E Class. Even after putting a baby seat at the back there is plenty legroom in the front passenger seat.
We are very very pleased. Go and treat yourself.
It might be a bit expensive for a hatchback but it's worth every penny.
The interior surpasses the closest rival Audi A3 by miles! It doesn't drink too much fuel as well hence the running cost is really cheap.
Performance is beautiful, handling superb. I love this car.
