    My car

I have recently taken delivery of my second C Class and there are some significant and worthwhile improvements; The ride and handling being one and in those body hugging seats (I opted for black leather)you feel like you are in a different car compared to the old C Class. The car looks great in Sport trim and I am pleased I opted for this distinctive looking car compared to a 5 Series that I was going to have - I have only seen one or two others like mine on the road.

I would only write a couple of things on my snag list. The lights are not as good as the old C Class (Xenon's should be standard on a car costing £30k) and the standard stereo is in my opinion a little below par.

On the whole though, it is a fantastic car!

    My car

Following on from my previous review, software upgrade for the 5 speed auto gearbox has done the trick. The automatic gear changes is now very smooth. Mercedes turned this problem around within 2 days. We recommend parktronic, 5-speed auto gearbox and metallic paint as must-have options.

    My car

Update on my previous review. Mercedes have updated the software on the auto g/box for my car. Well it is better, but still not perfect. I have now driven a similar model car just to make sure that its not the way I am driving. Well the test car drove perfect, and my car still surges forward before slotting into the next gear. This happens only at lower speeds, normally form 1st gear to 2nd. Although the car is what I expected in terms of quality, the drive once up to speed is very good. I will be taking my car back to my dealer for the 3rd time to have this g/box sorted once and for all or I will have no alternative but to reject the car! I do not expect to pay £34500 for a car that cannot change gears as it should. Be aware!!!

    My car

after driving the previous c class and bmw 3 series, i find this car truly impressive i love the parameter steering it makesit possible to drive using just your thumb it is very quick and has great torque, the interior has been styled very well and is truly a step forward.

the tiptronic automatic gearbox is the icing on the cake it is also possible to use as a manual although it has been designed so well i must say i have not had to bother yet but the paddle shifts are there shoild i feel like it.

in terms of looks it really has the lot the new sports grill and amg styled wheels and body kit make it look much meatier than the old one and looks far better than the new bmw overall it is a fantastic car and i would urge anyone thinking of buying one to buy it you will not be dissappointed.
