    My car

I have just driven this car with a view to consider purchasing one. My previous car was a Current Shape BMW 330d M Sport current model, which was total disaster. BMW UK has the most terrible customer service, my advice don't buy one!!! I am seriously looking at MB 220 CDi Sport Auto. List price £28,315. I looked very closely at the 320 CDi Sport Auto list price £32,490.00 but cannot see how MB can justify the price hike of £4,175.00 for an increase in power of 54 BHP, 110 NM Torque plus a more sophisticated 7 Speed auto box, remember the standard spec of the two cars remain the same. The car looks great, handles well has a great big boot boot. I found the engine a little rough, it needed to be pushed a little to much to get it going to counter this it was best driven around town in Sports mode. The ride was to firm and not best suited to driving on London's lovely roads!!! How can MB get away with charging customers £20.00 for a Front Cup Holder, £620.00 Metallic Paint, Parktronic £605.00. Bi -Xenon's £ 725.00 all this should be standard plus leather. Dont be fooled by the MB salesman saying ohhh we do not discount these cars or by saying we could offer you Mettalic Paint for free. One simple search froma well known respectable Internet car broker has already offer me close on 10% discount on a UK Supplied car. WAke up Mercedes and for once loose your attitude and offer your customers value for money!!!

    My car

I have recently taken delivery of my second C Class and there are some significant and worthwhile improvements; The ride and handling being one and in those body hugging seats (I opted for black leather)you feel like you are in a different car compared to the old C Class. The car looks great in Sport trim and I am pleased I opted for this distinctive looking car compared to a 5 Series that I was going to have - I have only seen one or two others like mine on the road.

I would only write a couple of things on my snag list. The lights are not as good as the old C Class (Xenon's should be standard on a car costing £30k) and the standard stereo is in my opinion a little below par.

On the whole though, it is a fantastic car!

    My car

Following on from my previous review, software upgrade for the 5 speed auto gearbox has done the trick. The automatic gear changes is now very smooth. Mercedes turned this problem around within 2 days. We recommend parktronic, 5-speed auto gearbox and metallic paint as must-have options.

    My car

Update on my previous review. Mercedes have updated the software on the auto g/box for my car. Well it is better, but still not perfect. I have now driven a similar model car just to make sure that its not the way I am driving. Well the test car drove perfect, and my car still surges forward before slotting into the next gear. This happens only at lower speeds, normally form 1st gear to 2nd. Although the car is what I expected in terms of quality, the drive once up to speed is very good. I will be taking my car back to my dealer for the 3rd time to have this g/box sorted once and for all or I will have no alternative but to reject the car! I do not expect to pay £34500 for a car that cannot change gears as it should. Be aware!!!
