I have had this car for two months and find it superb to drive and well equipped. The power is amazing and it puts it down very well.
I have found parts for the car are reasonable, especially tyres, which cost only £70 each for 225-40-18.
I am planning to keep this car for a long time as it has everything I want.
dont know why you are saying avoid the 4.6 v8 zt. its the best car i have ever owned.
My car was a 2003 + model with 66000 mls, bought for £6999.00. I wanted a big comfortable car for my 80 mile daily commute. I owned this car for 12 days. The insurance cost was higher than expected (group 10). Cost £120 more than my previous car, Ford Cougar V6 (group 14)??? The quality & finish was not very good. The rear window blind worked occasionally. The tv screen was hard to switch off. The climate control was baffling. The fittings seemed cheap for what is supposed to be a luxury car. However the ride quality was good & reasonably quiet. After 9 days a "check engine" light was showing occasionally & gears were stiff to select. the car was returned to dealer who checked it out & booked it in for a week later to rectify under warranty. The next day the gearbox destroyed itself completely, wouldn't go into any gear, managed to put in reverse & car lurched forward??? The dealer recovered the car & gave me a full refund thankfully. I was gutted, as I liked the look & style of the car, but also glad to see the back of it. I think I was just unfortunate to buy a lemon, as I read good reviews about this car prior to purchase. I hope you are luckier than I was.
Good; Handling is excellent for size of car (much better than equivalent 75); interior space is reasonable; decent economy - 45mpg is easy to achieve.
Bad: boot space is terrible; engine is lacklustre at best; a few problems are creeping in - though mine is high mileage.
I've had to spend a fair bit of cash recently keeping this going - clutch slave cylinder (and clutch) were replaced which seems a worryingly common problem. Tyre size is unusual which makes replacements expensive.
Overall, surprisingly fun to drive - if only the engine were more willing - it doesn't feel like 135bhp, other similar engines are far more responsive. But it does handle very well without ever feeling too hard.
Order a brochure, find your nearest dealer or book a test drive
I've had 6 VWs now including this one and it is a mixed bag. In no particular order the economy is poor despite the FSI badging and in town never…
Why is there so much whining about the rear sets? It's small - it's called a "mini" (hint). It didn't get any smaller after you bought it, so deal…
