Had the car 6 months now, very unrefined on road, almost jiggery not overly comfortable if you do long journeys, and very low fuel consumption, around 25mph. (Road tax is now £400)Thats the bad points, good points are its spacious and nice to drive around localy due to its high driving position, its also great off road as I use it in a quarry and it copes without problems. Its also quite a good looking car.
This car is absolutly brilliant. I have had mine for 6 months now and its is the best car i have ever had. On the road it is comfortable enough for my wife and 3 Kids. Took it to Cornwall from Sheffield in the summer and it was excellent. My daughter is into horses and it tows a horse box with 2 horses very easily. The 4 wheel drive is excellent both off road and on road in the snow and ice. This car also looks great and has real presence on the road.
The cabin is basic but well laid out and has everything within easy reach. I have upgraded the stereo as the standard one is not great.
The running costs are on the high side but if it is driven well it is not a pocket buster.
All in all if you are looking for a family car that will going almost anywhere in comfort then a Shogun Sport is definatly worth looking at.
expensive to run very low mpg but a graet car and very very reliable service well and it will look after you.
There is nothing else on the market with the mitsu reliability, at this price that can tow over 2.5t. Everything bigger is soooo expensive, everything smaller has small tow limits. This is why I brought mine! The only other option was the toyota, but its ugly and expensive and the ride is soft and bouncy! There is a recall on this car on the steering rack. If you have a heavy foot its not cheap to run, if your a relaxed driver its better than others. Its a great tow car, tows 2.5t so easily you forget the trailers behind. Great for cruising up the motorway. The cabin is small I agree but I am smaller! Insurance is average just shop around. The mpg is better than most with its capabilities (towing wise). The reason for the one star is beyond me I have had no problems with mine, and I never wanted gadgets like electric adjustment on the seats more to go wrong! I can sleep in the back if necessary.
