i have owned my micra for 3 years. its so cheap to run, hardly uses any petrol. i have never had no problems all i have had to replace is the battery, but seeing as it still had the original battery on when its 10 years old is pretty damn good. i would reccomend this car to anyone
Further to my review 11/09/2007, the car is still running brilliantly but...
After the car was serviced (annual) in 2007, I drove it off the forecourt on the the busy A13 road only to find the brake pedal went to the floor. The brakes had not been bled properly. Fortunately, I was able to nurse the car back to dealer who admitted their mistake and apologised. In July 2008 I made three phone calls to dealership to book the annual service and no call came back. I presume that they don't want my business. A pity - they have serviced the car since new in 2000 and I have owned Nissans/Datsuns since 1979. I now use Service Garage at Shoeburyness - an independent but at least they call me back and keep me informed.
It appears that comments about Nissan dealerships across the UK are correct. Ho hum...
I have owned a black Nissan Micra for 3 years. We've done it up a bit -it's now got unique blue and silver stripes down the back and front driver and passanger sides and graphics down the driver and passanger front sides. It has 'Spider' speakers which light the footwell blue and a VERY powerfull Sub-woofer! It also has lights below the CD player which light the CD player blue! It drives brilliantly, pretty nippy and cheap on tax and insurance. I love it. Unfortunatley I am looking for a buyer due to a company car. I would absolutley without a doubt have another in the future. Great cars!
I've always owned one of these since I learnt to drive. Great economy, even better when I converted one to run on lpg. Very nippy. Only down sides are the lack of space, noise and poor performance uphill.
