I picked up my car on 12 March 2008. Model I had is not listed here. Its the special edition Arctix Expedition. I choose this against Aventura spec car for value for money and for external body kit.
I have owned last generation x-trail 2.2 SVE and this one is much better. I tried honda CRV & VW tiguan as well, cabin of honda feels nicer and Tiguan is better handling car but this one is a better package overall and very good value for money compared to other makes.
Have done 2500 miles in 3 weeks and this car is pleasure to drive. Handling is superb and 173 diesel is awesome performance. Body roll is well controlled. Pulls very strongly for the car of this size and can give a run to many hot hatches.
Down side is economy which is 30 mpg and I have only done motorway runs. Very comfortable cruiser. Cabin is very quiet as well. Satnav is nice but not upto Tomtom standards. Reverse parking camera makes life easy. Privacy glass is a nice touch.
Its amazing to see that german companies charges extra for these little things. I also liked the bluetooth phone integration.
Cabin is roomy enough for 5 adults with tons of storage places. Boot is huge, we particularly liked the drawer system.
Car looks majestic in metallic thundercloud and I am very pleased with the purchase. My dealer at leeds was very good as well.(car delivered in 5 days)
I got this car delivered on 1st March 2008. I have yet to find and use most of the accessories that come as standard, but overall it seems very well equipped.
The heated leather seats are great at this time of year. The sat-nav works well and seems as good as my previous one on the BMW I had.
The rear-view camera works well when reversing close to other objects or cars. I'm a little disappointed that it didn't come with an iPod plug, as many new cars have this facility now.
The new 173bhp diesel seems to perform well and pulls very strongly, although I have to yet get more than 33mpg either on motorways or in urban driving.
All in all, I'm very happy and think I made the right choice when comparing it to the new Freelander, which was another £5000 for a similar specification.
We just picked up our new X trail yesterday, and i can honestly say wow, its every bit as good as we hoped and better. Our previous car was the old x trail and we was very happy with it, but the new one is much better, more refined, spacious, much quieter, quicker and over all a very nice and classy grown up x trail, Highly recomended.
I had the MK2 2.2 SVE. After 4 turbos and 1 intercooler, I said I will never buy another Nissan! (I've had 3 new over time and all have been good).
I drove the new X 2.0 Sport 171 - it was great, more comfy, better gearchange, better road manners, good ride, with camera park assist. I like it so I ordered a new soort. Will let you know how i get on.
