Over the years I have owned many cars, big and small. I find the Perodua excellent for congested city use. It doesn't overheat and is very easy to manouver in tight situations where space is limited.
The turning circle is excellent, too. I certainly would recommend it for short distance use, especially in town, and very minimal maintenance is required. Its petrol consumption is economical. It's a value for money car, so not suitable for the fuss-pot.
I have owned this car since new November 2002. I have not had any problems with it apart from the battery packed up after three weeks. Once this was replaced, no problems at all.
I have covered 25,000 miles in the car in this time and all it has cost me is routine servicing (every 10,000 miles) and two new tyres at 20,000 miles.
I have found that the car is not one to be thrown around but it drives well if treated gently and not pushed. A nice tight turning circle and with the power steering makes it very easy to park.
I have to admit it is small (plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 small children). I would recommend it as a small, town run-about / commuting vehicle which returns 50+mpg without any effort.
