I was given a 1007 as a courtesy car when my 307 died, and had to drive 275 miles home with family and luggage. It's completely bonkers, but drives remarkably well. In 1.4 petrol 2-tronic form it is slow, but feels much bigger than it is. It was a squeeze for three plus luggage and my wife was glad to be unfolded out of the back seat. Reversing visibility is poor. Great if you don't have a family, live in town and don't mind the fuel bills. I was astonished to find it was a 1.4; I had presumed it was a 1.0, but fuel consumption seems very heavy. But then you have to bury your foot into the carpet to get anywhere. I'm glad I haven't paid £12k for it, but it's pretty well equipped, quiet and comfortable.
The 1007 is a good car. But I like it not because it's super speedy, because it isn't, nor do I like it because of the thousands of free gadgets you get with it, because you don't get thousands of gadgets with it, I like it because it isn't traditional, it's a super car, so modern with brilliant sliding doors. It's suprisingly comfortable as well. It drives well, but you can't expect much of a small but tall small family hatchback. The fuel economy is good as well, and you do get some gadgets, it's fun to drive and fun to be a passenger in. Recommended to young one's who are buying their first or second car.
I recently bought a Peugeot 1007 1.4 petrol model the fuel consumption on the car is unbelievably bad. I am getting 31.4mpg combined when it says I should be getting 44.5mpg.
I have been to the dealer within the first 30 days - it's been ongoing for three weeks mow. They don't want to know, Peugeot don't want to know, and I have been told it will get better.
The car has done 1500 miles now, and it is not getting any better - I don't know what course of action to take. 'Promises delivered,' my backside - they don't want to know.
Bought this as ex- demo, one month ago with 2000 miles. The dealer has seen more of it than I, on-going door fault, wanted to get rid of it but even dealer does not want it back!
You will be very disappointed with a second hand value, was offered £4,500 having paid £9000. No dealer wants them! 1.4 has no power under bonnet, gear box is clunky and slow.
Very disappointed.
