    My car

I bought a very low mileage car in excellent condition back in 2001. I got several years of pleasure from it. A languid and relaxed drive though I often tore the motorway miles. It's not a sports car. Beautiful to look at but the interior as you know is not as cool as the exterior. I found the seats would become uncomfortable on high mileage journeys. Despite reputations, it was very reliable, I think I had one component failure. I can't recall changing the cambelt or seals so if it hadn't been written off by a third party, a big bang was probably around the corner. The hood can be temperamental, there's a manual overdrive and I had to use it occasionally. The hood mechanics are based on switches in series and pram frames, it's lumbering, no one will help you fix it when it goes, no one including Peugeot so beware. And that's it's only failure. The plastic rear window is a pain once it mottles and scuffs, and there was an occasional drip of water in driving rain. Would I recommend you risk your few hundred sqids on a used one. Make it a good one but yes, I'd have another.

Biggest problem was that in the colour I had, elderly gentlemen had a habit of smashing into it - three times till it finally died.
