Purchased from main dealer 14 months ago, biggest mistake in my car buying history, back for warranty repairs 6 times. These were ABS light coming on,engine management light coming on,o/s window regulator and motor seizing up,roof not going up becauseof roof catches coming loose, and then after the main dealer had fixed it the roof lining came loose because they had not fitted it properly.Plus peugeot warranty bad as you have to pay for diagnostic charges which me over £250.Nice when the sun is out and the roof is down but car gives you no confidence, this on a car with 11000 miles when purchased.BEWARE.PS Have now sold the pup
i've owned 307cc for 6 month. it's not bad honestly. no problem whatsoever, but i don't like the suspension. it's too hard. too noisy on road. i sold it after 6 month. i think it's a posh car for somebody who can not afford a german one, great fun on summer, but i don't think i willl buy other one in the future.
If you can't afford a 4 seater German convertible, this would APPEAR to represent good value for money. It is quite attractive, though more so with the roof down, and the leather upholstery and sat nav on my model plus the high spec cabin are really impressive. Unlike some reviewers, I have had no problems with the roof at all and I put it up and down frequently. Downsides are: DOESN'T HANDLE THAT WELL - sluggish round corners. CREAKING NOISES WHEN ROOF UP - garage say this is common problem with the bushes. SLOW STARTER (2.0L Petrol) - though it does pick up and is good on motorway. Clearly a cruiser rather than a driver's car. All these things I can live with but the ELECTRONICS ARE POOR - lots of interference on radio so I asked Peugeot garage to investigate. Only way they could do this would be to remove rear spoiler where electronics are housed. Cost to investigate: £780! Passsenger air bag light on - Peugeot garage said this was probably due to me 'moving the seat backwards and forwards' which would seem to be a reasonable thing to expect to do? - cost to investigage £280! BOTH THESE PROBLEMS STEM FROM FUNDAMENTAL DESIGN FAULTS yet I need to pay to have them rectified. EITHER REDESIGN/RELOCATE THE HOUSING OF THE ELECTRONICS OR INVEST IN MORE ROBUST ELECTRONICS! Has anyone else experienced these issues? Very disappointing - I will be returning to a Golf or a Civic. Shame - it was great fun with the roof down.
Just bought a 2004 307cc from a local dealer. Lovely looking car which my wife loved so it was bought there and then. She enjoyed the car until last week when a major safety issue occurred. When driving on a normal "B" road the seat belt pre-tensioner went off inside the car which tightened the seat belt around her and then the engine cut out. Fortunately this did not happen on the outside lane of a motorway. The AA towed her to a local Peugeot dealer who checked it over and said it would cost £2035.00 to fix. I said I would not pay as it was obviously a component fault as we did nothing to contribute to this incident. Peugeot were adamant they were not repairing the car - and haven't. Yes it is a nice car but before you buy or next time you take yours for a service please ask about this pre-tensioner fault as I wouldn't like this to happen to you. Also this is a little taster of the disgraceful after sales service so beware. Other faults were the drivers door sensor had to be replaced, the steering is heavy and the switches for the windows and roof are too close together. I would suggest you look elsewhere before buying a 307cc.
I have owned my Boxster now since 6 month and I am very happy with the car. I went to a Porsche dealer because I always wanted to drive one of these…
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
