I've been a proud owner for two years of a Corolla 1.6 T Spirit being well specified and roomy, built to a good standard. It's been reliable from day one with no unscheduled visits to dealers. It's good to drive on a various types of road although no sports car.
Fuel consumption has been good, averaging 41mpg, which is a big improvement on my previous vehicle, an Audi A3 1.8 SE.
On the downside, it gets a bit vocal at motorway speeds, the seat fabrics seem of cheap quality showing signs of wear after two years. Items have been addressed according to my dealer in the mid-life make over.
If asked would I recommend or purchase another, the answer would be yes.
I bought this car secondhand from a Toyota dealer and I have driven it for the last two years.
It is reliable, has never let me down, it is economical to run in fact the only reason I have not rated it as 'outstanding' is the wind and road noise.
It is quick, easy to handle, and has many items of equipment, which you only normally find on more expensive cars. I have no children so for my wife and myself it is a more than adequate car.
If I was asked whether I'd buy another T Sport, my answer would be yes, with some more sound insulation.
NOT A BAD CAR TO OWN. I HAVE HAD LOTS OVER THE YEARS, I THINK THE PETROL CONSUMPTION IS A BIT HARSH FOR THE SIZE OF THE CAR, AS I OWNED A CARINA ESTATE 1.8 BEFORE THIS AND QUITE FRANKLY, I WAS GETTING BETTER MILES TO THE GALLON.
APART FROM THIS, THE SUNROOF HAS GOT A PERSISTANT NOISE COMING FROM IT, I ASKED THE GARAGE TO LOOK INTO THIS WHEN THE CAR WENT IN FOR IT'S FIRST SERVICE AND STILL I HAVE THE PROBLEM... I FIND THIS NOT GOOD FROM TOYOTA AS THEY HAVE BEEN BRILLIANT TO ME AND MY CARS FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS...
CUSTOMER CARE AND SERVICE HAD TO ME ALWAYS BEEN THE BEST PART OF OWNING A TOYOTA...
A great small hatch - needs working hard but good to drive and good fuel consumption
