    My car

My car is now 12 months old. Massive problems with the MMT gearbox. Now broken 7 times. The car has spent as much time with Toyota as it has with me. The cat is currently off the road again with the same problem and this time I DO NOT WANT IT BACK!!! The interior is shabby with plastic bits falling off the seat adjusters. Toyota know about this problem but are reluctant to admit it. I'm starting litigation to get my money back so if anyone wishes to join in please feel free. Dont buy one of these cars as they are unreliable and very danderous. tonyfoxon@yahoo.com

What a great car ! We had the leather and full colour sat navigation option and they really make the car special. The 2.2 diesel engine is excellent and returns very good mpg. The dvd system in the rear is great for the kids on long trips. We upgraded from a 1.8 petrol version with MMT - the manual box and diesel engine are top notch. Highly recommended, great dealers, great warranty, typically toyota.

    My car

Weve owned fords and vauxhalls and had nothing but problems from rubbish air con to blown engines to strange noises, which meant that every trip was fraught with a sense of impending breakdown. Then we bought a Lexus is200, and every time we put the key in, it worked, nothing ever broke, fell off, blew up or developed a noise. We got from a to b with never a problem. Unfortunatley, with a growing family, fuel costs and a need for practicality we needed an MPV, so we tried them all. Oh my gosh, what a story of compromise and disappointment. The S-MAX looked the part, but the interior lloked like a Blue Peter presenter had put it together. All the other MPVs were so stylistically boring with oh so dull interiors. Furthermore go into Tesco carpark and woe betide you if you forgot where you parked--talk about Hitlers Beetle... SO we tried this baby; and whilst it may have its faults such as needing to REV the engine in first at a roundabout, not having enough cubby holes, and no sunroof, because we got the fully specced version it stands out a mile, is quick enough to catch out rep mobiles, and every time we put the key in it goes; no fuss no bother--we`re not listening for weird noises, expecting bits to fall off or telling the kids to stop touching the interior in case they break it. And i`m sorry, but other MPVs can`t touch that.

    My car

First time owner of a Toyota, love this car! Lots of room for the space it takes up on the road. Very comfortable to drive, I never step out with any aches or pains no matter how long the journey. Level of equipment is very good compared to other makes, especially with ESP as standard. The interior is of excellent quality and is standing up well to the abuse it receives from my 5 year old son. Not worth going higher up the range, cheaper to buy a DVD player from Halfords! For my annual mileage (8 - 10,000 miles)it is not worth paying the extra for the diesel versions. Good level of service from dealer, minor problem on delivery, sorted out very quickly.

Test drove all other MPV's of this size, this car was without the best. Would recommend it to anyone.
