    My car

I have just decided to buy a 1.8VVT-i TR and have got a great deal from Pinkstones,Stoke-on-Trent.They have been excellent. They fetched a 1.8 petrol from Liverpool for me to test drive,as this was the model,I was thinking of buying. When I told them I could get the same spec/model elsewhere cheaper, they knocked £1,480.00 off the retail price to secure the sale!! I test drove other MPV's and this was my final choice.Only the Mazda 5 Furano came close. The Verso was the most comfortable and car like to drive. The seating versatility the best.It has a great safety rating, better than most of its competitors.I found it smooth and responsive to drive. Not at all sluggish as some reviews say and I'm used to driving a 2.5TD.However it is not as nippy as the Mazda Furano or as sporty to look at.But the build quality is much better and it is very stylish.Italso has bluetooth capability. I have only given a 3 for ownership, as until I have owned it, I cannot really comment.I can't wait for my car to come and would advise anyone wanted a small/medium sized MPV to consider the Verso.

    My car

We have 3 children and share school runs with friends. We went from a T2 Avensis to a T3 Verso 1.8. The veratility of the seats is excellent. Even though our oldest daughter is 14, she still fits in the back. There's loads of space to put CD's etc. and we particularly like the modern dashboard design and radio/cd unit - a bit unexpected from Toyota. There are loads of MPVs to choose from and the Verso definately isn't the cheapest, but we thought that the build quality was the best and the dealership that we bought it from was excellent. They had a Playstation in the showroom and CBeebies on the TV with beanbags to sit on. This made buying the car and waiting while its serviced a lot easier. We've been to other Toyota garages since and they are all just as good. Our local one is Listers.

    My car

Test drove this last week after liking the look of it in the dealers.

    What a disppointment.

Nice engine with lots of poke BUT the noise over 50mph is appalling. Road / engine and particularly wind noise combine to make it almost unbearable. Test drive took 10 minutes before we brought it back to the dealer who said they're all like that and most people learn to live with it - ha! For over £18k I expect better than this. Also interior trim felt very flimsy. Finally we've gone for a Ford Smax
