not a heavey car very nippy on the road an overall nice drive interior is basic no gadgets not much to rate on inside!
I've had my Astra for nearly three years, and it's been completely hassle free. Other than routine servicing, I've bought a rear wiper. The fuel economy is good, performance reasonable given the size of the engine. The only things I'm not keen on is the rear visibility and the bootlid creaking.
I'd have another one.
Dont know why people are complaining about this car....no one forced you to buy it, there are such things as drive before you buy. My second astra, first was a petrol, this is diesel...all in have had 5 years of trouble free motoring with ASTRA, including last summers trip round Holland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. Excellent small hatch for the money. Front brake pads done 24,000 miles and still running on original tyres........
I have owned this car for over two years now and apart from head gasket going early on which was covered under the warranty, this car has been very reliable and a good drive! Reviews say a drab interior and i guess it's not the best, however it is a very practical, reliable and comparitively quick car, even for a 1.4 16V. A good all-round car!
