    My car

Having owned the 1.4 SXi Twinport Corsa for over a year now, I can honestly say that it is an absolutely fantastic car. It's very good on fuel - I'd say I get between 270 and 280 miles out of £30 worth of unleaded fuel (and that is pushing it hard). Performance is equally as impressive - it's extremely quick for a 1.4, it's nice to drive on the motorway, and it's great for overtaking. I'd recommend this car to anyone because it is fun to drive, handles well, is responsive, and cheap to run and insure. This car is practical for tall drivers as well. I'm 6ft 5 and I have no problems with legroom.

    My car

I had the opportunity to drive this car for a few days as a courtesy car. I found the engine nippy and responsive, but rather noisy. The ride feels firm to the point of uncomfortable on rough roads.

The equipment specification is very reasonable for a car of this type. The main downside is that it is definitely cramped for tall people and I wouldn't really call it a four-seater at all.

    My car

I really enjoy this car. The space has not really been a problem and my passengers are comfortable and feel safe in it.

The volume controls on the steering wheel are an excellent idea and are very good for being on the road, simply because it saves the distraction of finding the skip button etc. The engine is quiet and quick and reliable.

The fuel consumption is good and for someone of my age who cannot afford to spend a lot of money on cars, it is ideal.

To me honestly I cannot find a single downside with my Vauxhall Corsa. I am pleased no end with it and hope to be enjoying it for a long time.

    My car

Car drove exceptionally well on the test drive and engine seemed to have plenty of life in it. You do have to keep the revs going to get the best out of it. The SXi version of the car drove better than the 'normal' version and seems to have better roll control and a better gearbox. There is a hefty premium if you want this engine and I'm still not sure if we've made back the money on it with the savings on fuel. Car is mainly used for town driving but does however show a major improvement in MPG on long journeys. However, reliability has been a major concernand is the reason for the 1 star rating.

    Faults so far:

    1) Indicator problems. 2) Indicators failing again! 3) CD player refused to play CDs!!! Took 6 weeks (yes six) to get a replacement. 4) Engine getting louder and louder. Took it in again and was told Belt tensioner needed replacing 5) About two weeks after problem numbr four was fixed, engine started getting really loud again, this time louder than before. Took it in again and was told they would need to order parts. What's worse is that we were advised not the drive the car anymore as the timing chain had nearly gone. We're still waiting for this to be fixed (nearly two weeks now)!!!
