I'm very pleased with the 1.4 Twin-port engine, achieving an average of 42mpg.
It's great to drive in town and on the motorway.
I have the 1.8 SRi and think it is a very underrated car!
It seems a very well made car and has some nice design touches to it. Shame the interior plastics wasn't a bit nicer. The engine pulls very well and really makes this little car fly.
I'm on my third Corsa now so Vauxhall must be doing something right. Fingers crossed for the Vauxhall reliability!
The main 'weakness' of this car is its relative lack of power, but then I suppose one can't expect much from a 1.0 litre three-cylinder engine.
Having said that, everything else is positive - 53mpg overall, easy to drive, and completely reliable over 20,000 mixed miles. Seriously cheap motoring, but try to stretch to the 1.2 engine if you can.
It's a great nippy car for a small diesel, and beats my previous 1.7td! It's quiet, you wouldn't think it's a diesel it's very economical, although it's easy to put your foot down as it's very enjoyable. Fuel economy is excellent.
A great car.
