I have been driving this car for 3months now and have covered 3000miles. It is 18 months old. So far it has been ok. The fuel economy has been poor so far, although it has only done 7500 miles and is still loosening up and is slightly improving. When we first got it i was lucky to get 32mpg but now it is pushing towards 40mpg
Good points: Looks very nice, goes well (although I had a 1.0polo before which immensly slow!) Solid materials, lots of kit, very safe, good handling
Bad points: Not amazing on fuel, numb steering-cant feel what the front wheels are doing at all, seat base of drivers seat is wareing, uncomfortable seats, dodgey fuel gauge- it gets stuck at certain points and then the needle suddenly drops, Recall for handbrake, although the vauxhall dealer in taunton was very good!!!
Just purchased a new 11 plate two weeks ago. No problems with the car, but as others have said the 1.2 is a little sluggish would have gone for a 1.4. Got the car from my local Vauxhall dealership at a good discount, would not be happy if I had paid the full price. The biggest gripe I have is the speedo has no 50 just a little mark which is quite disconcerting. Fuel economy is Ok, comfy to drive and good when on motorway - all in all happy with it.
A fantastic little car with decent fuel economy. Was slightly wary of the 1.0l engine at first and yes it is sluggish, but it works quite well once up to speed albeit with a small amount of noise in doing so. It has a fabulous cabin which is exceptionally well built and the 3 door version does look fantastic. There's a few squeaks in the cabin but all in all, a great little car and very highly recommended!
I traded my very old 1.2 corsa for a new 1.0l life. Got a fabulous deal with ecoflex trade in. (Paid just under £6000!) Have driven it for a month now and love it. It's definitely more spacious than the old corsa, very quiet and a smooth ride. It's not quick but perfectly fine for driving round town and I can overtake snails when neccessary. It went up to 80mph on the motorway nicely. I averaged 43mpg on my first tank of petrol driving round town which I think is very good. I'll agree with others, my only quibble is the bulky front pillars which make visibility a bit tricky at roundabouts. Otherwise I think it's a fantastic car for an entry level and I'm very glad I bought it.
