    My car

I traded my very old 1.2 corsa for a new 1.0l life. Got a fabulous deal with ecoflex trade in. (Paid just under £6000!) Have driven it for a month now and love it. It's definitely more spacious than the old corsa, very quiet and a smooth ride. It's not quick but perfectly fine for driving round town and I can overtake snails when neccessary. It went up to 80mph on the motorway nicely. I averaged 43mpg on my first tank of petrol driving round town which I think is very good. I'll agree with others, my only quibble is the bulky front pillars which make visibility a bit tricky at roundabouts. Otherwise I think it's a fantastic car for an entry level and I'm very glad I bought it.

    My car

I recently rented a new corsa as a hire car and it was awful. It was the worst car i've ever driven. I'm only 6foot tall but could barely fit in it, the visibility front and back is dangerously bad and the internal build quality looks incredably cheap.

The car has those stupid one position indicators which are impossible to turn off and extremely annoying.

The boot has a ridiculous hidden boot area with a massive lump of plastic covering the hidden part which is near impossible to manovre out of the car and there is nowhere in the car to store it. With it in place is reduces the boot size considerably to the extent i couldn't even fit a suitcase in there.

The worst part is the parcel shelf. I don't know what they have made these out of but it is covered in micro fibres like glass fibres which gave me blisters all over my hand and i'm still trying to extract 4 days later from my hand. These are actually a health hazard and i could not believe it but my hands are in tatters after trying to move the shelf in an attempt to put a single suitcase in the boot. This is a serious and major issue that vauxhall need to sort out, it is amazing they have used such a dangerous substance in a production model of a car.

On the plus side the model was an 'ecoflex' diesel version which did seem to give good mpg and the engine seemed comfortable on the motorway. its just a shame about the rest of the car!

    My car

A vast improvement on the old corsa apart from fact its got a Brilliant economical engine with the only downside of a 5 speed box when it has easily got the torque and power for a 6 speed box. as a result for its quickness the ratios are not brilliant with it revving at almost 3000rpm at 70, 2000rpm at just under 60, so for thoose motorway miles engine revving more than it needs. an advantage is that its quick of the mark around town. The new corsa is also more refined with alot less road noise, just engine noise suffers abit

    My car

I have had this car now for 1 week and, so far, I am very impressed with the car in general. The car is great to look at and also has a great specification. The black piano trim looks great, and really compliments the car. So far the running costs have been quite good. As the Corsa is a heavy car, the 1.2 engine sometimes struggles, but if you push it you can soon get it to move, and at a decent pace. There is only one thing that i have read about on other reviews that is strange, is that when going from 1st to 2nd gear, at around 4,000 rpm, it seems to rev itself up, with my foot off the accelorator. But all in all, I am so pleased with my car, even with the over-revving engine!
