    My car

The Omega has been the car of choice by many police forces and for good reason.

It has an outstanding ride, luggage capacity and general reliabilty level. I have owned two Omegas and find them very difficult to beat. The fuel consumption is relatively good. When one considers this is a 2.5 V6, it is very economical.

I have taken the car to Italy, across the Alps through temperatures of -30 degrees and a great deal of snow and ice. The mighty Omega did not let me down once. It climbed mountain passes covered in snow and ice without having to stop and fit snow chains!

I have done the same journey many times in various cars, only in the Omegas did I feel truly confident in its ability to cope with the adverse conditions!

The Omega is an outstanding car. Yes, people do moan about them for various reasons but there again they also moan when the sun is out because it is too hot.

There just is no pleasing some people I suppose but, hey, if it means there are more Omegas still left knocking around for me in the future, then who cares. Omegas... I love 'em.

    My car

Bought in May 2004 as I was looking for an exec car for " high business mileage" and with as much kit as possible.

Also had to bear in mind appreciation after 3- 5 years ownership. For £14,000 cost through Network Q I just couldn't go wrong compared to other vehicles with half the specs, although I have a current issue with the dealer and the Network Q guarantee, i.e they didn't check the wheel alignment correctly before delivery resulting in all the tyres being replaced at a cost of £500 and to date have had poor response from all concerned.

However, this car has not given a days trouble, it gives a great ride, economical at 40mpg +, well kitted with high spec and spacious. It is a bit sluggish from start but when warmed up it runs fantastic.

Overall, when you consider all things it was a great buy within the price range but the only fault is with the rogue dealer who didn't pre check the vehicle in accordance and best practice of the Network Q guarantee.

If you consider purchasing, you must search for at least an elite spec and if you are lucky you might just get leather as standard. Consider, high mileage omega cars if they have a first class service history as they are very reliable.

My personal preference is still main dealer servicing.

    Good Luck

    My car

I have only owened this car for three months, and have been really pleased with the general overall condition and perfomance, but after checking the service sheets for timing belt renewall we have had a failure after 5000 miles with a boltsheering off the tension pulley.

Could this be a problem unbeknown to the general public?
