    My car

Had our Eos for 6 months now and it is a huge dissapointment. When we collected it we were told it was not ready and had to have a new seal on the roof and a new boot liner because a mechanic had spilt milk on it! Ok very honest we thought. Now it is in and out of the dealer and we have not had it at all this year because of wind noise. Picked it up on Friday from repair after being in the dealers for a month to find the boot is full of water and mold. VW answer oh book it back in again and we will take another look and what a suprise the wind noise has returned because of the poor workmanship from fitting the new seal!

I would have to say the dealers are ill equipped and poorly trained. I also own a Toureg and this too has had numbers of faults from a new steering rack and ESP faults. The courtesy car was a nice touch a golf which after a day that broke down to, ECU fault and only running on 3 cylinders followed by a polo with a stuck fuel flap!

Are you still going to buy a VW? I gave VW a second chance after being assurred that the service we had previously experienced would be resolved, clearly not DONT BUY THIS CAR!!!!

All I can say is that if VW made a beer it would probably be the worst beer in the world

I invite VW to contact me for comment!

    My car

I bought this car because I believed what "What Car" said - this car is rubbish. It is lovely to drive BUT I bought it at 10 months old - have driven it for max 300 miles in two months - in that time I have two water problems - one is that when it has rained, you cannot open either door without completely soaking your feet (a massive dunking of water from the sill?cill. Together with that is a significant condensation issue - probably connected. After rain - my car is ofetn totally obscured with condensation on the windscreens and much time can be lost this way. After all that - I have now had an airbag fault that the car arrived with - a coil problem has developed (i.e. an engine management problem which told me to take it straight to the workshop and then in the same day an exhaust system problem. (I had to abandon my journey because of this today) In all this car has done 13,500 miles - this is not acceptable. The roof is the only thing so far that has worked properly - I only got to try that yesterday cos the weather was so brilliant. I really cannot currently recommend this car to a single soul - I wish I had kept my wonderful V5 Lorraine

    My car

Well I had high hopes when I first reviewed the Eos whilst awaiting delivery in march. What a massive let down for a brand new £27,000 car. The car has gone R. I. P. Volkswagen what have you done!!!!!! water water everywhere. First Volkswagen and now the Last. Cloths to mop the seats, sponges for the boot, and then being told to spray the Seals with some sort of magical spray? hello have I just spent £27,000. on a culander. Volkswagen the only car for all year open air motoring even with the roof up. I have now returned to Mercedes with a fabric top model. The hood is as tight as a ducks backside. Goodbye vw.

    My car

I have owned this car since March 07. At about 4 months old a noticeable 'pop' was heard from under the car, resulting in a rattle from the engine when idling and a screech when accelerating between 2000-2500 rpm. Other minor faults were the windows not fully closing and the alarm going off occasionally. Being the buzy (& lazy) person I am, I only decided to send the car back into the main dealer at the end of Jan 08. When I called the dealer to find out what the problem was, I was told that the Particulate Filter had failed but had been replaced under warranty. The other suprise was that they had repaired the water leek in the boot (which I had not noticed), that had damaged the control unit for the electrics thus causing the faults on the windows & alarm. Both jobs were repaired, the car fully dried out and the car returned washed and valleted within the week.

Even though I have had a few teething problems, (worth it) the car remains a top quality, well built and very reliable head turning vehicle which puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Cant wait for summer!

Top marks to Warrington Volkswagen for a good deal and who have been first class when purchasing and very quick with the warranty repairs - recommended.
