Unfortunately trying to get my money back - now had 4 gearboxes in 8k miles 6 months. Volvo keep telling repairers to fit new box so no one looking for cause of fault. Also has bad wind noise.
Very refined. Low noise levels in town and at speed. Supple ride, again, at speed and over potholes in town. Fuel economy exellent.
In all a car you could drive half way around the world in and still get out and party. But also the car that, day-to-day, says you have arrived. Volvo says it takes you to 'Confidence', I say it takes you anywhere - and then you don't want to get out.
Had the car for two months and 3000 miles and no problems.
Very impressed with power from engine. Excellent for overtaking,Great for towing.
Interior spec superb. Great ride. Good consumption(45 mpg).
Only downside is selecting 1st gear...too much pressure with gearstick and you engage reverse!!(near miss at traffic lights)
There is an audible BLEEP when selecting reverse but if music is playing you can miss it!
You do get used to it through time.
Overall, superb car - I would reccomend it.
We bought this car last October and it has done only 6000 miles.
It gave us enough trouble with the Communication Pack. It was taken to the dealer four times. One morning I could not start the car at all due to a drained battery because of a fault in the Volvo On Call system. I was about to seek legal advice but the dealer managed to fix the problem.
I wrote several letters to Volvo in Sweden and Volvo UK but did not get any help from either.
I don't know when it will break down again, and I certainly didn't expect this sort of trouble after buying a brand new Volvo.
