Kia's all-new Sportage crossover will cost 20,777 when it goes on sale on August 1.
First Edition trim
The first 800 cars will be in exclusive 'First Edition' trim. They will be powered by a 134bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine linked to a six-speed manual gearbox, and come with four-wheel drive as standard.
A six-speed automatic gearbox is available as an option, along with a choice of five exterior paint colours.
Standard kit is comprehensive and includes leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth and a USB socket. Theres also a reversing camera and sensors, cornering lights and LED daytime-running lights. Glossy 18-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass and roof rails enhance the Sportages sharp styling.
The full Sportage range will go on sale in November. It will include 1.6-litre petrol and 1.7-litre diesel engines, both with stop-start systems to improve fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. Front-wheel-drive versions will also be available. Prices for the full range have yet to be confirmed.
