The Aston Martin Lagonda is bringing back the Lagonda name on an exclusive super-saloon. The saloon will be hand built in Aston Martin's factury in Gaydon, in the building previously used for the One-77 hypercar. However, prospective customers in the UK will be disappointed – the Lagonda will offered for sale by invitation only, and will be offered in the Middle East alone.
Hyundai has launched an online booking system for servicing and repairs. Customers will be able to input their car's numberplate details, and will then be presented with the available times and dates. A confirmation email is sent automatically with details of the appointment.
Mercedes has revealed details of the engine that will power the upcoming AMG-GT supercar. The replacement for the SLS AMG will be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine that develops 503bhp. The engine is a departure from the larger AMG unit in the outgoing SLS, which uses a 6.2-litre V8. There are no performance figures available yet, but Mercedes has claimed that the new engine will be the lightest in its class. The AMG-GT is expected to be revealed in September.
