The Alfa Romeo Stelvio offers alluring looks, entertaining handling and a decent equipment list. For the money, though, there are better all-rounders that have more polished interiors, even better driving dynamics with a more comfortable ride, and more space inside.

This more powerful four-cylinder engine is also only available in Veloce trim. It’s quick, but quite coarse-sounding and much thirstier than the diesels.
