The model
Read full reviewThe Alfa Romeo Stelvio offers alluring looks, entertaining handling and a decent equipment list. For the money, though, there are better all-rounders that have more polished interiors, even better driving dynamics with a more comfortable ride, and more space inside.

See full equipmentVeloce means ‘fast’ in Italian, so it’s no surprise that the Stelvio Veloce gets plenty of sporty highlights. As standard the Veloce has 20in wheels, black or red brake calipers, black exhaust tips, body coloured wheel arches, adaptive dampers and power sports leather seats to hold you in place in the bends. None of these upgrades are essential, though, and because it’s only available with either the fastest petrol or diesel it really pushes the price up.
The engine
