Review

The Alpine A110 is one of the most entertaining and rewarding sports cars you can buy – at any price. Being ultra-lightweight means that, despite its relatively small engine, performance won't disappoint, while at the same time it feels even nimbler to drive than a Porsche Cayman.

Trim: S

Aside from the extra power, S trim is mainly about the suspension and steering changes that actually make the A110 slightly worse to drive. However, you do get an active sports exhaust, bigger Brembo brakes, black 18in alloy wheels, a Focal stereo, front and rear parking sensors, and faux-suede head lining as standard.

Engine: 1.8L Turbo

This more powerful 288bhp engine is standard on the S trim and comes with a sports exhaust as standard. However, you don't notice the tenth of a second it shaves off the 0-62mph sprint.
