Audi A3 Saloon 35 TDI Edition 1 4dr S Tronic [Comfort+Sound] Review
Category: Executive car
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe Audi A3 Saloon is tidy in the bends, comfortable and well equipped, making it a very competitive option against its closest rivals, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and Mercedes A-Class Saloon. However, the A4 is worth the extra if you can afford it, because it’s quieter and has a classier and more practical interior. Likewise, the BMW 3 Series betters the A3 in those areas, and it's also more enjoyable to drive.
The trim
See full equipmentThis limited-edition trim includes 19in alloy wheels, black styling details inside and out and Matrix LED headlights, which adapt the main beams so they can remain on and not dazzle other drivers.
The engine
See full engine specsThe 35 TDI diesel engine is noticeably stronger than the 30 TDI, proving particularly relaxing on motorway runs and it's very refined for a diesel. It's also very economical, but isn't RDE2 emissions compliant, so company car drivers will have to pay a 4% surcharge.
