Category: Luxury car
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe A6 is quiet, spacious and an impressive luxury car all round, and will also cost you far less than most rivals. Granted, it’s not the most enjoyable car in the class to drive, but it’s up there with the most comfortable, which is arguably more important.
The trim
See full equipmentEntry-level Sport trim is all you really need, with electric front seats, four-way lumbar adjustment, LED headlights, 18in alloy wheels, leather seat trim, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, ambient LED interior lighting and keyless start. The standard infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sat-nav, Bluetooth, a DAB radio, an 10.1in touchscreen and a punchy 10-speaker stereo.
The engine
See full engine specsThis is the cheapest engine available in the A6, but it’s still a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol with 201bhp. 0-62mph takes a reasonable 7.3sec and claimed economy is in the high thirties. Like every A6 you can only have it with an automatic gearbox, but it’s the only one that’s exclusively front-wheel drive.
