The model
Read full Audi Q2 reviewThe Audi Q2 is a desirable and fine-driving small SUV with an impressive interior. It also has one of the best infotainment systems in the class. Yes, there are cheaper alternatives, but Audi's smallest SUV justifies its cost will its superb all-round ability. That said, we'd avoid Black Edition and Vorsprung trims to keep the price sensible.
The trim
See full equipmentTor a reasonable premium over Technik trim, you get an upgrade to 17in wheels, digital instrument dials (Virtual Cockpit in Audi Speak), and some aluminium interior trim. Sport models look a bit smarter from the outside, too, thanks to wheelarches and sideskirts finished in ‘Manhattan grey’ paint.
The engine
See full engine specsEven though it’s small, this little 109bhp three-cylinder engine does a decent job of hauling the Q2 along. You have to rev it hard to get the best from it, but it doesn't get too rowdy when you do. If you are going to spend most of your time on the motorway or carrying lots of people, we’d recommend going for one of the more powerful engines, though.
