Review

The Audi Q3 is practical, has plenty of tech and is decent to drive. However, the Range Rover Evoque and Volvo XC40 are both classier inside, more comfortable and, ultimately, are better all-rounders.

Sport trim comes with a generous standard kit list, which includes 18in alloys, dual-zone climate control, an electric tailgate and cruise control. Indeed, it's our favourite trim.

This 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine offers similar outright performance to the cheaper 35 TFSI petrol but with more low-rev oomph. If you do lots of miles of plan to tow, it's worth a look.
