The Q3 is practical, has plenty of tech and is decent to drive. However, the Range Rover Evoque and Volvo XC40 are both classier inside, more comfortable and are, ultimately, better all-rounders.

Combines a 1.4-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to produce 242bhp, and a 0-62mph time of 7.3 seconds. The official electric-only range is 31 miles.
