The Audi Q5 Sportback is good to drive and maintains enough practicality for many buyers. It’s roomier in the rear seats than a BMW X4 but you do have to pay a premium over the regular Q5 to get one. The punchy and refined TDI engine is the one to go for.
The trim
Comes with most of the kit you’ll probably want, including three-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats and a 360-degree parking camera. Sport trim models are fitted with comfort suspension, which we haven’t tried yet.
The engine
This 201bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine offers punchy acceleration and surprisingly thrifty fuel economy.
