The Audi Q5 Sportback is good to drive and maintains enough practicality for many buyers. It’s roomier in the rear seats than a BMW X4 but you do have to pay a premium over the regular Q5 to get one. The punchy and refined TDI engine is the one to go for.
The trim
Top-of-the-range Edition 1 trim adds plenty of desirable features over S line, including an extra touchscreen for your front passenger, electric front seats, 21in alloys and some extra active safety aids. It’s pricey though.
The engine
We haven’t tried this 201bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine yet, but for most buyers it probably isn’t worth the extra outlay over the TFSI petrol.
