The model
Read full BMW M3 reviewThe latest M3 is a brilliant performance car that’s far more capable (and fun) than its main rival, the Audi RS4 Avant. Yes, it's expensive, but if you can, you absolutely should.
The trim
See full equipmentThe M3 is reasonably well equipped on the safety and luxury front, although you might be surprised to learn you have to pay extra for keyless entry and (on the saloon) a powered tailgate.
The engine
See full engine specsThe M3's twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six engine engine packs a big punch – 503bhp to be exact. That's enough for a sub-4sec 0-62mph time, no matter which version you choose. Abundant torque means it pulls hard from low revs, yet it piles on speed even faster at the top end, so it’s very much worth revving out.
