Review

The Citroën C3 Aircross is practical and reasonably priced, with an attractive interior and lots of personalisation options. However, plenty of rivals have superior infotainment systems, and are more comfortable and better to drive.

Range-topping Shine Plus cars feature everything from keyless entry and start to a sliding rear bench that allows you to prioritise boot or passenger space. However, they’re a bit on the pricey side, so we’d stick with the regular Shine trim.

Despite being the cheapest engine in the range, this turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol unit is a fine choice, because it picks up well from low revs, and is pretty smooth and quiet. It also averaged a healthy 43.5mpg when we put it through our True MPG test.
